How this estimate is calculated

We compute your income as a percentage of the 2025 federal poverty level (region-aware for Alaska and Hawaii), apply the 2026 applicable-percentage schedule to get your expected contribution, and subtract it from an age-rated national benchmark Silver premium. For 2026 the enhanced subsidies have expired, so the 400%-of-poverty cliff applies. Real subsidies depend on your county and the specific plans offered.
